Resources Sermon Notes |
The message explores how Jesus’ deployment orders in the Great Commission and the beautiful identity language of Ephesians 2 call every follower to move from finding home to helping others find it. The sermon contrasts the common temptation to settle into comfortable “Not In My Pew” attitudes with the heartbeat of God for the isolated, the lonely, and the stranger.
It traces the progression: we Connect to belong, we Grow to become more like Jesus, and we Serve to bless. Because we belong to God’s household and are empowered by His Spirit, serving flows from overflow rather than overload. Simple availability, Spirit-empowered witness, and intentional hospitality open doors that programs alone cannot. We can serve to bless others with the True Home we’ve found in Jesus because we belong and we are being equipped.
